Red China Hutch

My youngest son asked me "Mommy, what are you painting now?"  I answered "a red china hutch".
He asked "is that like Red Solo Cup?"

So, the song was stuck in my head the rest of the day.  Yikes.  Not exactly lyrical perfection, or appropriate at all for a 5 year old, but funny nonetheless.

Red China Hutch, I'll fill you up....

Will "proceed to party" here:
Restored it Wednesday at Restore Interiors
Furniture Feature Friday at Miss Mustard Seed
What Have You Redone? at Redoux
Piece of Work Wednesday at Primitive and Proper
Saturday Night Special at Funky Junk Interiors
Get Schooled Saturday at Too Much Time On My Hands

    1. Thanks Cassie! The white was actually a last minute decision. As I went to take photos, I realized that nothing on the inside of the cabinet stood out against the dull wood - so white it became! ~L

  7. Gorgeous! I love the colonial red, this piece would have gone perfect in my home back east. In fact I have a piece very similar now, which I rescued from a burn pile. I love it.

    1. Thanks! - Lucky you to rescue one! This color was really fun. I used a lot of dark wax on it and in the 90 degree heat it was easy to use a LOT! Thanks for stopping by! ~Lori
